Most people know it as layered, hard noodles that soften once you place it in hot water. It's a quick snack that is somewhat filling and comes in all kinds of flavors, from chicken to shrimp to chili. Taking this idea of the ramen noodle soup, a new food craze has been created: the ramen burger.

Keizo Shimamoto, the creator of the ramen burger, got this idea from his love of ramen noodles and a trip to Japan. Shimamoto traveled around Japan and ate ramen everywhere he went. He also started a ramen blog that eventually got him involved in a short film about ramen. From there he decided to put his ideas to the test and created the ramen burger.

The ramen burger idea is something he saw gain quick popularity in Japan and decided to put a twist on it. Shimamoto uses a prime beef patty instead of the pork filling used in Japan. Shimamoto's burger also includes a shoyu sauce that has people lining up for more.

Why have ramen noodles when you can get a ramen burger?
